Why TASK ? Benefits of being a Member


  • TASK has organised various programs and initiatives to benefit its members and the travel industry as a whole. They have submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister regarding the streamlined procedures for obtaining COVID vaccines and vaccination reports for passengers traveling abroad, in accordance with international guidelines. This effort demonstrates their commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of travellers during the pandemic.

  • The association also provides timely international travel guidelines to its members, keeping them informed about the latest requirements and restrictions based on travellers’ destinations. This information is crucial for travel agents to provide accurate guidance and assistance to their clients, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

  • TASK held an annual members’ meet-up on March 26, 2022, at Port Muzriz Cochin, with esteemed guests such as Mr. Ahamed Devarkovil, Mr. Reji John MLA, and Mr. Anwar Sadath MLA. These events provide an opportunity for networking, knowledge sharing,and addressing industry-related challenges.

  • Advocacy is another important aspect of TASK’s activities. They submitted petitions to the Kerala government to expedite the process of obtaining police clearance for new visas in the UAE when the UAE government implemented this requirement. This
    proactive approach demonstrates their dedication to addressing the concerns of their members and finding solutions to industry-related issues. TASK has organised a tour to the Maldives exclusively for its association members. This initiative aims to provide an opportunity for members to explore and experience the beauty and attractions of the Maldives, fostering camaraderie and networking among the travel agents.

They have conducted email and tweet campaigns regarding flight cancellations and the lack of refunds by Go First airline to its customers. This campaign aims to raise awareness and highlight the concerns of affected travellers, advocating for their rights and seeking resolutions from the airline.

  • Furthermore, TASK has brought attention to the current situation at Kannur airport, where there are no more international flights operating. They have highlighted the impact of this situation on the travel industry and the inconvenience caused to travellers.Additionally, they have addressed the issue of the central government not granting approval for international flights to operate from Kannur International Airport.

  • By conducting email and tweet campaigns, TASK aims to raise public awareness, garner support, and encourage relevant authorities to take action and find solutions to these issues. Their advocacy efforts demonstrate their commitment to protecting the interests of their members and ensuring a smooth and efficient travel experience for all.

  • TASK has presented a memorandum to the CEO of Air India Express, Mr. Aloake Singh, requesting agent IDs for non-IATA travel agents. Their efforts were successful, as the request was approved. This achievement enhances the credibility and recognition of
    non-lATA travel agents

  • The association has also engaged in discussions with notable ministers, including Mr.Muhamed Riyaz and Mr. MB Rajesh, to address challenges faced by the travel industry.These interactions provide a platform for open dialogue and collaboration in finding solutions to industry-specific problems.

  • In terms of expanding its vision, TASK aims to strengthen its membership base,providing more agents with the benefits and support offered by the association. They also focus on providing insurance and financial recovery solutions to their members,
    ensuring their businesses are protected from unforeseen circumstances.
